Stuck In Time

I am home,
But it doesn’t feel like it,
I felt like I belong nowhere,
My folks seem different,
Every step I roam,
Seems so strange and uneasy,
They make me feel like I don’t belong..

I am home,
But it doesn’t feel like it,
I sat on the same table,
Chatting and sipping my tea,
The topics seems irrelevant,
Other than those familiar faces,
I felt so lost and drifted..

Has my frozen heart changed my view?
Has my dark mind turns the world topsy turvy?

I am afraid,
I am in blues,
Everyone have moved on,
I am still at this phase,
The same point ages ago,
I want to hide away,
I want to melt,
Break into molecules

I am stuck in time…

Negativity

Life felt meaningless,
Negativity overshadowed positivity,
The endless battle in the mind,
Overwhelming, suffocating,
How long has it been going?

No passion for what I’m learning,
Complicated theories,
Supposedly enlightening,
Poses more enquiries instead,
More confusion and weird thought instilled,
How fake the world is..
How it seems like a setting…
No escape from the designated route,
Its all a discourse..
What is real?

Wish I could replace it with notes,
Arranged on the staff,
Free to leap,
Guided by the spirit,
Channeled by my muses,
Something which could be sounded,
Formed into easing melody,
Therapeutic waves to the brain,
Brings out the light from the soul..

Anything but those philosophies,
Written by problematic souls,
Quoted by insane murderers,
Trying so hard to define..
How human reality works..
How everything is merely representations..
Material based and so forth..

Nostalgic Dinner

The bubbly red broth boils.
Spicy aroma consummate the room,
We gathered around the pot,
Eyes upon the spicy broth,
The tummy growls within,
Only we know..

Chopsticks in our hands,
Picking up chunks of meat speedily,
As we tossed into the bubbly pot,
Vegetable covered the surface,
Almost overflowing out of the pot,
The lid was placed to prevent it..

Sweet spicy sour broth of Thai origin,
‘Steamboat’ of Chinese origin,
Enjoyed in a Japanese dining setting,
A blend of culture and style,
Best enjoyed on a cold rainy day,
The rain have not stopped since noon..

Nostalgic feeling surfaced,
How we used to party that way,
Since we were 15 till last November,
It’s just the two of us this time,
The recipe still remains,
Delicious and mouth watering..

How we bloat after dinner,
Barely able to move,
Dinner ends with home made dessert,
Milk jelly with sweet longans,
The best meal since last week
A bonding time for us..
