Wings to Fly

Wings to fly,
I call upon you,
When will you grow upon my shoulder?

Wings to fly,
My eyes hunger for a new view each morning,
When will I have enough to buy you?

Wings to fly,
I love and hate you,
You stir my calm sea;
But you're the ship to my maiden voyage..

Wings to fly,
I see you on others,
Taking flight along with my sisters..

Wings to fly
You bring new breath to some,
You also cast fear to some,
But you stole my loved ones away..

Wings to fly,
I long for you since seventeen;
To take me to a new soil,
Where my stale roots can grow again..

The wind call
The silent blow
In the soft touches
You let yourself go

The beginning of a place
Hunting in the cemetery
Pointing head lines
Pictures of yester years long gone

The wind of carefree ways
You don’t have to worry
The sunlight tricks you
The black shadows fear you not

You jump on the stones
You sing a tune or two
Believing the souls so free
Crying softly for the beginning
It has long gone to the wind

Wind to fly
The imagination gets to you
Plotted whims desirable fantasies
The children calling you
You have lived beyond their eyes

Walking around the lake
The long arms of branches spread
The midnight shadows dance
You think of years gone away

The lake remains
Life moves you on
Changes in the environment
People move housing schemes established
Drawing out new images
Yester life gone away

Wind to fly
Poking for something new
Roots grow embedded deep in soil
Waiting for the dark clouds
The rainfall sings its tune

Reflections in the lake
The cycle whirls in the mind
Changes come, life move on
Hold the memory
It makes you smile
It spreads its wings
You take off to fly
